The Food Care Center in Killeen, Texas provides food, clothing, and household items to clients in need at little, or no cost them. There is a constant and growing need in our community for these services. For 20 years the Food Care Center has met these needs with care and compassion, fulfilling the mission of "standing in the gap". Food is provided to our customers Tuesday through Friday. Hours of operation are 9:00AM to 1:00PM, with extended hours on the first and third Friday evening from 4:00PM to 7:00PM. Food is provided to individuals, families, organizations, churches and community service workers based on need. |

Andy Merlo is a Boy Scout in Troop 229 in Harker Heights. He is working to become an Eagle Scout. He volunteered to build a storage shed for the Food Care Center as a Scout project.
